After the defeat Mahinda’s First Foreign Visit -China

During the period Mahinda governed Srilanka, China was a friendlier country to Srilanka. China was

behind sending a Satellite by Mahindra’s third son and remitted millions to Shiranthi’s Siriliya Saviya

Organisation, then opposition and some trade unions alleged. Further, China was accused of helping

Mahinda indirectly to ensure his victory. China has granted unprecedented loans and undertaken

several development Projects in Srilanka.
