Nawaz Sharif says successful nuclear tests made country’s defence impregnable

In a message to nation on the occasion of Yaum-e-Takbeer, he said with the blessing of Almighty Allah, Pakistan has become the seventh nuclear power of the world.

He said despite world pressure, Pakistan conducted the nuclear tests in reply to nuclear tests conducted by India.

The prime minister said that after conducting nuclear tests, defence of Pakistan became impregnable and the enemies could not dare to look towards it with bad intentions.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said nuclear tests were carried in the best interest of the country and now they will bring economic revolution which will change the destiny of the nation.

Yaum-e-Takbeer is being celebrated today to mark the day of nuclear test carried out by Pakistan in 1998.

The day dawned with special prayers for the peace, prosperity and development of the country.

It would be the 17th anniversary of the nuclear tests, which Pakistan had conducted at the Chaghi Mountain of the Balochistan Province during the second tenure of Nawaz Sharif’s government. These tests were conducted in response to the Indian nuclear tests May 11 and 13, 1998.
