No Interest in Politics – Swarnamali

Teledrama actress Upeksha Swarnamali has contested the election held on 8^th April   2010 under the UNP ticket and won the seat.

In the General Election held on 17^th August 2015, she contested under the UPFA ticket in her capacity as Divulupitiya electorate organiser and got defeated.

She said, that she was invited by both major parties to address their meetings. But as she was not interested in politics. Hence, she refuse to address meetings.
