Precautionary Measures to Prevent Dengue in Examination Centers

Department of Examinations  is  geared  to conduct G.C.E.(A.L.) Examination -2017 and the Grade Five Scholarship Examination -2017.

The G.C.E.(A.L.) Exam is to be held from  August 8 to September 2 while the Grade Five Scholarship Examination is to be held on  August 20.

On the verge of  these examinations,   the Commissioner General of Examinations  W.M.N.J.Pushpakumara  has requested the Ministry of Health and the Dengue Control Unit of the Health Ministry to take steps to destroy mosquito breeding grounds at the government schools that are to be used as examination centers.

Further,  he asked the  parents of the candidates to offer possible assistance to examination staff to control Dengue during this period.

In the meantime, all Provincial and Zonal Education Directors have been instructed to provide all possible security and health safety to the candidates of these examinations .
