Avant Garde Chairman & Another  Were Charged

Charges  were filed  against the Chairman of Avant Garde Nissanka Senadhipathi and a former Co-ordinating Officer of the Ministry of Defence Major General Palitha Fernando for obtaining and giving bribes at the Colombo High Court .  The charges were filed on 48 counts including obtaining a bribe of 35.5 million rupees and handing out bribes as well.

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption has filed  these  charges .

The bribes  said to have been solicited in return for the services of the Navy Maritime Security Services to be handed over to Avant Garde in the year 2012.
