Passengers trapped after double-decker bus crash in London in Lavender Hill

Casualties have been reported after a double-decker bus crashed into a shop in London, with passengers trapped in the vehicle.
The incident happened in Lavender Hill in south west London causing peak hour chaos on Thursday morning, local time.
The bus veered off the road and crashed into a kitchen design centre. The shopfront collapsed as a result of the accident.
Pictures posted on social media showed passengers in the upper level of the bus unable to get out.
Emergency services have attended the scene.
Reuters reported The Metropolitan Police said they had been called to reports of a collision on Lavender Hill, near London’s busy Clapham Junction train station.
“The driver has been taken to a south London hospital. A number of passengers were treated by LAS (London Ambulance Service) at the scene,” police said in a statement.
“Two passengers remain trapped on the upper deck. The road is currently closed to traffic.”
