Weather Forecast For 13th August 2017

There is a high possibility of afternoon thundershowers in the Eastern, Uva, Northern and North-Central provinces. Cloudy skies can be expected at most parts of the island.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at most parts of the island, particularly after 2.00 p.m.

Showers can be expected in the Jaffna district and Western coastal area during the morning too.

Fairly heavy falls (above 75mm) can be expected at some places in the Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Mullaitivu district.

(There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.)
