Got the Police to Remove Water from the Well at no Expense

Someone has given information to emergency police telephone number 119 stating that a gun tied inside a gunny bag was kept in particular well in Thavasikkulama, Kodikaamam. This information was given to the police at 10.30 a.m. yesterday.

This emergency call details was given to the Kodikamam police for follow up action. Kodikaamam police in turn has instructed the Gramasevaka to drain the water from the well and recover the gun. But after removal of water from the well by the G.S. in presence of villagers, they found nothing in the well.

Police is now trying to trace the caller to take legal action against him. In the recent past several anonymous calls are given to police emergency number 119. Police has warned those who originate false telephone calls will be severely dealt with.
