Election Amendment Law Passed by Majority Vote in Parliament

20^th Amendment bill was presented in Parliament by the Minister of Local Government and Provincial Council Faizer Mustapha. According to it Election of all Provincial Councils in Srilanka should be held in one  day.

20^th Amendment bill was passed in Parliament  today with the majority of 118 votes. While 118 voted in favour of the 20^th Amendment bill 44 were absent.
