An Interim Injunction Filed  in Appeal Court  by NPC Deposed Minister Denishwaran

Deposed Minister of Northern Provincial Transport B. Denishwaran has filed an interim injunction petition in the Appeal Court, Colombo.

In his petition  he  seeks  the Appeal Court to issue an interim  injunction against his removal from the NPC  Transport Minister post by the Chief Minister Wigneswaran. He quoted that the methodology followed in dismissing him from the Minister post is wrong and seek the Court to give a ruling against it. Further the petitioner  states, that the subjects assigned  to his Ministry has been  re distributed among the other  NPC Ministers Anathi Sasitharan  and K. Sivanesan.

Petitioner has quoted Chief Minister Wigneswaran, AnathiSasitharan,  K. Sivanesan, K. Gunaselan, Former Ministerof Health Saththiyalingam and the Governor Reginold Cooray as defendants.

Attorney – at – Law  Lilaanth de Silva under the guidance of Senior lawyer Suren Fernando filed this petition yesterday.

This petition is expected to be taken up for inquiry today or Monday or Tuesday.
