Weather Forecast For 6th September 2017
Showery conditionin the South western part of the island will expected to continue. It will likely to reduce after tomorrow (07thseptember)
Showersor thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces.
Several spells of showers will occur at North-western province.
Showers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere particularly after 2.00 p.m.
Fairly heavy falls (about 75-100mm) are expected at some places, particularly in the Ratnapura, Kegalle, Kaluthara, Galle and Matara districts.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
On the apparent southward relative motion of the sun, it is going to be directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka during 27th of August and 06th of September in this year. The nearest towns of Sri Lanka which the sun will be directly overhead today (06th) are Telwatta, Baddegama, Deegala, Mulatiyana, Jandura, Attanawala and Udamalala about 12.09 noon.
