6165 Complaints Lodged to the Child Protection Authority

The Child Protection Authority (CPA) has reported that 6165 complaints have been lodged to the CPA within the course of 2017.

It has also been reported that 90% of the complaints were lodged through the 1929 hotline dedicated to the Child Protection Authority . Officials state that the majority of complaints were lodged on counts of child labour.

Further the Child Protection Authority received 975 complaints on the denial of education for children, 365 for Child abuse and 222 for improper care being provided. The CPA also received 222 complaints on children being utilized for begging.
