Government MPs Prohibited Under Taking Foreign Trips

The 20th amendment  to the constitution  is scheduled to be debated and passed in parliament on 20th  September 2017. Having taken into consideration the 20th constitutional amendment, which  is scheduled to be debated and passed next week, government MPs and Ministers have been prohibited   from  under taking foreign trips.
Accordingly, President Maithripala Sirisena has  informed this decision  to SLFP MPs and Ministers representing the Government yesterday .  On the other hand the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has  informed MPs and Ministers representing the UNF regarding this decision.
