LG Elections Only in January 2018

The Chairman of the Elections Commission Mahinda Deshapriya has ruled out  Local Government elections during the year 2017. He has given  various reasons for it.

However  finally he said,  that the  LG elections are likely to be held on or after January 20, 2018
