CEB  Employees Strike Continues Power Interruption in Several Areas

Ceylon Electricity Board employees launched the strike at 12 noon yesterday demanding removal of salary anomalies and preparing salary scales on 1 to 6 proportion.

The CEB Joint Trade Union Alliance said that it has decided to carry out the strike continuously.

Some employees except engineers serving in the Colombo main office and power plants had refrained from work from noon yesterday. As a result several areas experienced power interruption.
