Ruling of the Bond Commission Regarding Aloysious Evidence not Acceptable

Deputy Solicitor General Dappula de Livera  appearing  on behalf of the prosecution stated that the  ruling given  by the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into the Issuance of Treasury Bonds in regard to recording of evidence  from Perpetual Treasuries Limited owner Arjun Aloysius is not acceptable.
The Commission ruled out that it cannot compel  the PTL owner Arjun Aloysious to give evidence in this case. But they expected that he would give evidence at this discretion.
However, Arjun Aloysius  has informed the Commission that he was not willing to give evidence  when he appeared before the Commission today (14).
He said, that the Bond Commission need to obtain the advice of the Attorney General in this connection .
