One Person Per Hour Dies in Accident in Srilanka
Research and Census taken on accidental death in Srilanka revealed that one person per hour dies due to accident.
In road accidents, suicides and other sudden deaths Srilankans between the age 15 and 44 totalling to 10,000 die per year, disclosed by the incommunicable diseases unit of the Health Ministry.
“National Accident Free Month” was declared from 18th to 22nd September 2017. During this period vehicle owners and vehicle drivers will be educated on this matter.
