Yoshitha Rajapaksa’s Grandmother  Daisy Forrest Ordered to Give Statement to  FCID

Yoshitha Rajapaksa, son of  former Mahinda Rajapaksa  is charged with the purchase of a  plot of land for his grandmother,  Daisy Forest .

In connection with the purchase of this  plot of land down Mihindu Mawatha, Dehiwela worth Rs 50 million, Daisy Forest was ordered by the Colombo Chief Magistrate Court today to give a statement to Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division.

The FCID informed the Court that  a progress report of investigations submitted to the  Attorney General’s Department and they are yet to receive the advice of the Attorney General for future proceedings.

The Chief Magistrate accordingly instructed the FCID to produce details before Court once directives by the Attorney General are received.
