Basil’s Political Pilgrimage to the North

In order to establish Srilanka PoduJana Permuna (SLPP) wing in the north, a delegation led by Basil Rajapakshe is going to Jaffna today.
Purpose of this visit is to contact with representatives of the National parties, to establish direct contact with the people and to establish a branch office for SLPP, a release issued by the SLPP stated.
A reception has been arranged at Kopay Murugan Temple. After it, a meeting is arranged in Weerasingam hall. Tomorrow the delegation scheduled to meet Bishop of Jaffna, Hindu and Muslim religious leaders. On Sunday they will meet fishermen, University students and representative of the farmers. On Monday they scheduled to visit Naga Deppa Vihara and a Kovil in Velanai before returning back to Colombo.
