Sri Lanka Prime Minister plans to introduce Smart Classroom in all country-wide schools .
The Ministry of Education has introduced Sri Lanka’s first cloud-based Smart Classroom at the Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte Maha Vidyalaya in January this year.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has made an inspection visit to inspect the “Smart Classroom” at the Sri jeyawardenapura Maha Vidyalaya yesterday (29). During inspection he said that the government has taken steps to set up an education that suits the 21st century.
The Prime Minister inspected how without traditional teaching and learning methods, Smart whiteboards and tablet computers are used in the Smart System to provide education to children.
The Premier said that in the future the internet-based learning method ‘Smart Classroom’ system will be introduced in all the schools country-wide.
