Until Promise Fulfilled Jaffna Uni. Students to Boycott Lectures
During his recent visit to Jaffna, the President Maithripala Sirisena had assured to provide a permanent solution regarding political prisoners by 25th October.
The Jaffna University Students Federation called a discussion this morning regarding the President’s solutions on political prisoners. Followed by it, the students had decided to boycott lectures till October 25. If the President failed to provide a permanent solution as promised, the students would continue their protest on hunger strike.
The fourth year examinations, which were scheduled to be held today, were also cancelled by the University administration due to the boycott.
