Arrest of a Funeral Parlour Owner and His Assistant for Smuggling Kasippu inside a Funeral Coach

Bandaragama police OIC received tip off that an owner of a funeral parlour has been smuggling and distributing kasippu in his funeral coach for a long period.

Bandaragama police inspector in charge P.P.L.Wickramaraatne and sub inspector Sampath along with a group of police officers followed the funeral coach when it left from the premises and checked after it travelled to a considerable distance to deliver it.

On checking, police discovered that kasippu bottles were packed in a manner inside the coffin, so that detection is made almost impossible.

However, they were caught red handed finally. Funeral Parlour owner and his assistant have been arrested by the Bandaragama police.
