Tax on Electric Cars Revised

The Finance Minister in his budget proposal in parliament declared that Rs 1 million tax  will be reduced in importing  brand new Electric vehicles. But , vehicle importers have pointed out that the introduction of the new tax concession on Brand new electric Vehicles is not efficient.

Hence, the Finance Ministry had decided to provide tax concessions for electric cars with a one year usage.

Relevant gazette notification will be issued today (15).
