Mahinda Treated Better Than Maithri at Shangri-La Colombo?

During Mahinda’s era Shangri-La Project came and despite some protests, he allowed it to be established in Galle Face.

President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe ceremoniously opened the Shangri-La Colombo hotel on the 16 th Nov.2017. They were invited to the 32 nd floor and given a tea party. Shangri-La has not failed to pay their gratitude to Mahinda Rajapaksa. When they came to know that the former President was going to celebrate his 71 st birthday yesterday (19), millionaire business magnate cum Chief Executive of the Sahngri-La Colombo, Sajad Mawzoon directed his administration staff to arrange a sumptuous dinner for Mahinda and his group and make extensive arrangement to celebrate his 71 st birthday at their hotel.

Accordingly, when Mahinda Rajapaksa and his team arrived, Sajad Mawzoon personally gave him a warm welcome. When he entered the special room arranged for his birthday, Sajad Mawzoon reported to have addressed Mahinda as “our President”. They were served with sumptuous dinner, which included Chinese food and traditional foods. They were served with hard liquor too. Internal sources, who witnessed the treatment given to Maithri and Mahinda said , it was obvious Chinese are fond of Mahinda and prefers to him than Maithri.

Meanwhile, a media reported that Mahinda Rajapaksa has also opened the Shangri-La Colombo second time.
