Prevailing Showery condition over the island is expected to enhance further particularly in the Northern, Eastern and North-central provinces during next few days.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the North central, Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Hambantota district.

Showers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere after 2.00p.m.

Fairly heavy falls (about 75-100 mm) can be expected at some places particularly in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and Southern provinces and in the Ampara and Batticaloa districts.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, North-western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
