President On Advancement Of Indigenous Traditional Medicine         

The President Maithreepala Sirisena while  participating at the inaugural ceremony of the “Tradmed International Sri Lanka 2017”, Educational Exhibition and Trade Fair on Traditional and Complementary Medicine held at the Water’s Edge in Battaramulla said, the use of traditional indigenous medicinal methods is declining as people turn to speedy treatments with various innovations and research of Western medicine.

The President further said, conferences like this should pay special attention in  introducing indigenous medicine back into society, while providing due respect to Ayurvedic Physicians.

President Maithripala Sirisena in conclusion said, the government will provide all facilities necessary for the advancement of indigenous traditional medicine.
