Nominations to be Accepted From Dec 11 (UPDATE)

District Returning Officers will call for nominations for elections of 93 Local Government bodies from December 11th to 12 noon on December 14, the Elections Commission said.

Nomination Papers For LG Elections to be Published Today 

Nomination papers of 93 institutions taking part in the upcoming Local Government Elections will be published today (27)  according to the  National Elections Commission.

The Elections Commission will be accepting nomination papers from November 11 – 14.

According to the Additional Elections Commissioner, Saman Rathnakayake all nominees must ensure  a surety deposit prior to contending.
