Basil’s Trick Creates Trouble in Mahinda Faction?

Political parties which are in the Mahinda faction will contest the local government election under the Srilanka Podujana Peramuna symbol “lotus bud”.

But Basil Rajapakshe on his own planned local government election strategies and finalize nomination list without consulting other political parties in Mahinda’s front.

This has created dissension among other political party leaders, Dinesh Gunawardena, Wimal Weerawansa, Vasudeva Nanayakkara and Udaya Gammanpila.

Their frustration is reflected by their actions. Dinesh Gunawardena has participated in the UPFA working committee meeting Chaired by the President Maithreepala Sirisena and Wimal Weerawansa boycotted the Badulla meeting.
