All Ceylon Polythene Manufacturers Association Warns Polythene Bag Shortage from January 2018
All Ceylon Polythene Manufacturers Association has warned that there will be a shortage for polythene bags and lunch sheets as from 1st January 2018. It cost five times more than the cost now incurred to purchase new raw material and produce polythene bags and lunch sheets as per specification given by the Environment authority. Manufacturers face immense difficulty in arranging funds to meet this additional cost.
As a result production will drop and the demand increase thus ending up in shortage of polythene bags and lunch sheets in the market.
