One Kidnapper Demanding 5 Million Ransom After Abducting a Person in Galle  Arrested

A person residing in Habaraduwa was reportedly kidnapped on December 21 and then released after a ransom of Rs.5 million was demanded, according to police.

 On complaint received, an investigation was conducted by a team of officers attached to Galle police. Followed by investigation police was able to arrest  a 34 year old suspect from Angulugaha, Galle.

At the time of his arrest, he was in possession of Rs.40, 000 and a hand grenade.

He will be produced before Galle Magistrate today (29).
