Wearing Sun Glass & Burka During Voting Prohibited

The Chairman of the Election Commission Mahinda Deshapriya has announced that wearing  of Burka and sun glass during voting at the upcoming local government election is prohibited. Further wearing of  helmet also prohibited.

All those , who are calling at the polling stations to cast their votes should prove their identity and cooperate with the returning officers.

Anyone  trying to violate will be sent back from the polling stations.
