Transfer of 3 Senior DIGs

Police sources said that after obtaining approval of the National Police Commission with the consent of the Elections Commission, three Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police were transferred with immediate effect.

While Senior DIG SM Wickramasinghe in charge of the VIP Security Division has been transferred as the DIG of the Central and Uva Provinces, Senior DIG Jagath Abeysirigunawardana was transfered as the DIG in charge of the North Western and North Central Provinces.

He previously held the post of Acting Senior DIG of the North Western, North Central and Central Provinces.

The Acting Senior DIG of the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces WFU Fernando was appointed as the Senior DIG of the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces.
