Railway Infrastructure to be Increased & Colombo-Wanathawilluwa Express Railway Line Construction to Start……

State Minister Palitha Range Bandara said,  the Government has decided to increase railway infrastructure. Accordingly an express railway line from Colombo to Wanathawilluwa will be constructed and feasibility studies are currently being conducted in this regard.

Alongside the construction of the relevant express railway line, another railway line would also be constructed from Mahawa to Aanamaduwe.

Under the implementation of a long term project, an expressway will be also be constructed linking Colombo, Puttalam, Aanamaduwe, Mahawa and Trincomalee.
