Minister’s Life Saved at the last Minute?

A Colombo based Media reported, that the Minister Mahinda Amaraweera had flown to Jaffna to participate in a Thai Pongal celebration scheduled. Although the minister and his delegation was scheduled to fly to Palali in Jaffna district, the Pilot flown towards Thalai Mannar.

Minister felt something fishy, questioned the pilot as to why he takes them to different direction. Pilot in return replying said, that he doesn’t know the correct route to Palali.

Thereafter, Minister directed the pilot to find out the air space route to Palali by using google map. When the plane reaching closer to Palali airport, the Pilot put another bomb shell stating that the plane was running short of fuel. However, the plane was able to land without any disaster saving the life of the minister and his delegation at the eleventh hour.

Normally it takes 45 minutes flying time from Colombo to Palali. But on this day it took 2 hours fort the journey.
