Police on the Verge of Retirement in Trouble……………..

As per 2015 budget proposal public field officers including police men and police women under the rank of sergeants were given motorbikes after they made the payment of 50,000 to the department.

A new direction said to have been issued by the IGP to respective regional director of police to recover balance money based on market value. Accordingly police men who were issued with motor bikes are asked to pay Rs.144, 920. Police women who were issued with scooter are asked to pay 137,500 to the department and produce payment receipt to the director of police welfare to get their pension file forwarded to the director of pensions. Police men and police women are on war path against this decision. While some of them have decided to return back the bikes to the department others decided to file a FR petition in the Supreme Court against this arbitrary decisions.
