Former Additional Secy of Presidential Secretariat Released on Bail &  Former Accountant of PS Remanded

Former Additional Secretary of the Presidential Secretariat D.S. Gunaratna, who was remanded in connection with misappropriating state funds amounting to Rs. 17.9 million, when purchasing eight luxury vehicles for the Presidential Secretariat in 2010, was released on bail with two sureties of Rs. 500,000 each and a cash bail of Rs. 50,000by Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne today(8).

In the meantime, former accountant attached to the Presidential Secretariat L.D. Gunaratna was further remanded till tomorrow (9).
