Commodore D.K.P. Dassanayake Requests the Court to Remove the Ongoing Investigations by CID……
After an extensive investigation CID accused Commodore Dassanayake and several other suspects for abducting and enforcing the disappearance of 11 youths during 2008/09.
On filing the case they were arrested and remanded and later on released on bail 0n 12th January 2018. When the case was taken up before Colombo Fort Magistrate, Lanka Jayarathna this morning, the lawyer appearing on behalf of Commodore, D. K. P. Dassanayake requested the court today (Feb. 08) to remove the ongoing investigations against his client from the Criminal Investigation Department.
