President & Prime Minister Agree to Form UNP Government?

President Maithripala and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe reported to have met last night and came to an agreement to appoint a UNP government. Unity Government agreement has expired on 31 st December 2017. Since then it was not renewed. After the LG election, the UNP members said to have met the leader Ranil Wickremasinghe and insisted that a UNP government should be formed. As a follow up action Prime Minister met the President.
