President to Seek Attorney General’s Advice on Removing Prime Minister

While addressing media Joint Opposition MP Kumara Welgama said, that President Maithripala Sirisena would consult the Attorney General and legal experts on the possibility of removing the Prime Minister as per the 19th amendment to the constitution.

 We agreed to extend our support to the government only if they leave UNP .However, we refused to accept ministerial portfolios although the President requested us to do so the he added.
