Parliamentary Session Adjourned for Tomorrow

Parliament which met today to debate Presidential Commission of Inquiry to investigate and inquire into the Issuance of Treasury Bonds and Presidential Commission of inquiry into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges was adjourned till 1 p.m. tomorrow.

Originally it was planned to debate reports till 6 p.m. today. However, TNA MP M.A. Sumandiran has raised the issue of non-availability of relevant reports in Tamil language. Hence, he doesn’t understand the relevant matter well to participate in the debate.

Intervening Dinesh Gunawardena said, that with the English copy debate could be continued. Hence, Speaker in turn has instructed relevant authorities to make available the copies in English and Tamil Languages and adjourned the sittings to 1 p.m. tomorrow.
