But President Maithripala Sirisena overruled that directive and ordered him to resume duties
As a diplomatic move he was asked to return, Srilanka press revealed. Brig. Priyanka Fernando has arrived in Sri Lanka today.
It is relevant to mention that while military Spokesperson Brig. Sumith Attapattu answering a question raised by a journalist during yesterday’s cabinet briefing said Brig. Fernando was recalled by the Sri Lanka Army for consultations.
