Fertilizer Subsidy Regularized

The government will deposit cash for the full market value of fertilizer to farmers’ bank accounts from next cultivation season.

Further, a free insurance cover of Rs. 40,000 will be provided to farmers cultivating paddy, corn, soya and onion.

They will receive this insurance cover for the next season, Minister of Agriculture Duminda Dissanayake said.
