Tabs for A/Level Students to Be Provided in Future -Akila

While Speaking at a function to handover appointment letters at the Education Ministry, Minister of Education Akila Viraj Kariyawasam says, although the project to distribute tabs to Advanced Level students has been temporarily suspended, the project will definitely be carried out in future. Several changes must be made in order to improve the education sector in the future.

 Ministry is accordingly taking steps to make Information and Communication Technology compulsory.

The Minister stated the Education Ministry had also finalized all necessary measures to purchase 195,000 tabs and distribute them among Advanced Level students and teachers.

However the Ministry had to temporarily suspend the project due to various objections raised by society and certain groups.

he further said, however the subject Ministry will definitely carry out this project in future as it is necessary.
