No Confidence Motion Against PM Next Week in Parliament

During a discussion held with foreign correspondents in Sri Lanka, Former President Parliamentarian Mahinda Rajapaksa said the No Confidence Motion against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will be tabled before Parliament next week.
He said the present government will be toppled in the near future.
MP Rajapaksa said he is not ready to take over the government under the current political situation adding however his group will remain in the opposition and back a Prime Minister from the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.
Further he said the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna will definitely field candidates at upcoming elections and welcomed the support of the members representing the SLFP.
