Train Fares to Be Increased From Next Month

As maintenance expenditure has increased, train fares to be increased from next month by 15%, the railway department announced.

The relevant gazette notification will be published next month, the General Manager, Sri Lanka Railways stated.

Further he said, train fares were not increased from the year 2008.
