Operation of 340 LG Authorities Begin Today
In the recently conducted Local government election on 10th February 8356 councillors were elected to 340 LG authorities.
Election Commission gazetted the names of mayors, deputy mayors, chairmen and vice chairmen of 15 Local Government authorities.
The establishment of administrations in these 340 newly elected Local Government authorities begin today (Mar. 20).
The chairmen or mayors of the respective Local Government bodies are empowered to decide on the date of the inaugural session of their respective institution.
