Meter is Compulsory in Three wheelers From 20th April

Having considered the benefits derived by commuters in using three wheelers  fixed with meters, the government has decided to implement a rule that makes it mandatory for three wheelers operating taxi services to have a fixed fare meter by the 20th of April.

Chairman of the National Council on Road Safety Dr. Sisira Kodagoda said that earlier the government planned to make meters compulsory for three-wheelers in January however, the deadline was extended until April.
