Deputy Speaker Post to UNP……
Since Deputy Speaker Thilanga Sumathipala resigned from the post of Deputy Speaker, it fell vacant.
Several names of Members of Parliament are recommended for this post. Sources close to the UNP revealed that the Deputy speaker Post is to be given to a UNP candidate.
Deputy speaker’s post will be filled in the second session of Parliament, when it is convened on 8th May 2018.
