Amendment to Grade 1 School Admission Circular

Having considered the complaints received from parents, who were unable to admit their children to schools despite having required qualifications as certain parents admit their children using fake documents, the Ministry of Education has introduced several changes to the circular on grade 1 admissions.

Accordingly, the method of marks given, residential address of the selected children and the details of qualifications of the children will be published without hindering the privacy of the chosen children, the Ministry said.

The main aim of this mechanism to minimize fraudulent activities related to grade 1 school admissions.
