20th Amendment to the Constitution in the First Week of May …
When Parliament convenes in the first week of May 20th amendment to the constitution will be submitted, JVP announced. JVPearlier planned to submit this amendment as a private member’s motion but delayed due to Parliament prorogued to 8th May.
There is no possibility to include the demand by the Joint Opposition to dissolve Parliament on being approved by the parliament. Joint Opposition placed this as a condition to support the motion. However, discussions will be held with the President, Prime Minister, Opposition Leader and former President Mahinda Rajapakshe, said JVP member of Parliament Vijitha Herath.
